We were also looked after by Hinasei when our eldest son was born, and they donated a magnificent piece of armor to us, so we didn't think we would prepare a May doll for our second son, and instead thought we would have just one for each of us.
I don't think I need two May dolls...

However, my grandmother said that it would be a shame for her, and that it would be better for each child to have a doll to watch over them as they grow up, so I took her up on her offer and bought one for me.

My second son was born in February.
Although we started choosing our May doll late, we first visited Hinasei, the same place we went to when we chose our eldest son.

There I came across a May doll. It was a beautiful helmet ornament that really stood out.
Both my grandmother and I fell in love at first sight. We decided to buy it immediately.

I asked the chairman for some selfish requests, and he made some adjustments, which allowed me to choose a May doll that I was very happy with.
It was delivered to my home promptly, and I was able to celebrate the Boys' Festival in style.

Please protect this child from harm and watch over his healthy growth.
We celebrated the first Doll Festival with all the feelings of our family.
