Celebrating Boys' Festival with a cute May doll for the first time | Tsuguaki from Hamamatsu City

Thank you very much for the very cute May doll, Child General.

My grandfather passed away when I was seven months pregnant, and I felt very sad and lonely, but I was able to give birth to a baby boy safely.

He was the first boy in 79 years since my grandfather.
I've always been in a matrilineal family, and it was my first time seeing a May doll, so I was scared of the image of Gaim and armor.

I learned about Kodomo Taisho on the internet and when I searched for "cute Kodomo Taisho" I was able to find Hinasei.

When I saw it in the store, I was so happy to see that it looked just like my son, and I wanted to buy it.

Then I was shown a tapestry that I could put my son's name on and had it made.

And my grandmother had lost her husband and was depressed,
My son's birthday and my grandmother's birthday were on the same day.
My grandmother was very happy as it was her great-grandson's birthday.

That's why they embroider the date of birth onto the tapestry.
I wanted my grandmother's name embroidered next to my son's name,
They kindly let me in.
My grandmother was really happy when she saw the finished tapestry.

Hinasei's gift included a wooden message box where the recipient could write the name of the person who gave the May doll.
I had the name of my late grandfather engraved on it.

Every time I decorate my May doll, I remember my grandfather,
I want to watch my child grow up as a family.

I am truly happy to have been able to purchase my once in a lifetime May doll from Hinasei.
