Celebrating Boys' Festival with a May doll for children | Souma-kun from Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture

The other day, we celebrated by displaying the May doll that we purchased from Hinasei.

I bought Uesugi Kenshin for my older child (3 years old this year) and Wakadaisho no Tomo for my younger child (0 years old).
Uesugi Kenshin looks like a strong and brave boy doll for the May Festival, while the young general is cute yet conveys a strong, composed presence.

My youngest child was born prematurely, but he overcame many obstacles and has grown into a big boy.

From now on, I would like to display the May doll every year, celebrate my child's growth with the whole family, and sincerely wish for my child's happiness.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

I'm Ohata, a staff member at Hinasei.
Thank you for the lovely, heartwarming photos and letter.

The size of the jinbaori is perfect for this big brother!!
Souma's jinbaori is still a little big for him!!

They both look very boyish.

The May decorations lined up were very impressive, and I could picture everyone celebrating their first Doll's Festival in a wonderful way.
I am sure that your sons will grow up to be strong, brave, and adorable yet with the strength to stand tall, just like how you feel about your May dolls.

Souma, who has overcome many difficulties, will surely be walking around clinging to his older brother next year.

It's really fun watching children grow up.
I hope that your sons continue to grow and stay healthy, and that they create many wonderful memories.

Thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity.
