Boys' Festival with a helmet decoration for a May doll - The first Boys' Festival of family ties | Yuto-kun from Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture

This is a feast made by my grandma and grandpa.

I tried wearing a helmet ♪ Is it a little heavy? (lol)


Even if you're a spoiled brat, you'll look tough if you wear a jinbaori, right?

This was a celebration of my son Yuto's first Doll's Festival on May 5th.

My grandparents bought me two folding screens along with the helmet, saying "We like them both!"

A very gorgeous folding screen with a phonogram depiction of a dragon and a tiger.
The gold leaf folding screen exudes a classical elegance, and both are beautiful in how they complement the helmet.
(It looks like you can enjoy a different atmosphere every year.)

Although the helmet is small, it is impressive and made to be authentic.

The hanging carp streamers were also lovely.

My grandparents (my mom's parents) prepared the helmet for me.
My grandparents (my dad's parents) used their talents to prepare a sumptuous meal for our first festival,
It was a fun day for everyone to celebrate together.

From now on, we hope to foster family ties where we can share the joy of watching our children grow.
I would like to treasure this May doll.

P.S. My mom's parents went all the way from Kanagawa to Hinasei in Shizuoka to buy this helmet for us.
I was able to buy a good product while receiving a really good consultation.
He said it was worth going all the way to Shizuoka.
Apparently the Fujieda dialect used at the restaurant was friendly and fun (laughs).
