Boys' Festival with armor decoration of May dolls: A heartwarming first festival | Yujin-kun, Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture

Twenty-eight years ago, my now deceased grandparents gave my sister and me a set of Hinamatsuri dolls.
When my parents put out the Hina dolls, it was my daily routine to bring food and snacks to the dolls every day.
Now, 27 years later, my mother and father gave my son a May doll as a gift.
My mother was given a Hinasei Hina doll 28 years ago and decided that when it came to her own grandchildren, she would also buy them from Hinasei.
I am very grateful that they were so kind to me when I purchased the May doll, and when they delivered it to my home they gave me detailed instructions on how to care for it.
Someday, when I have grandchildren, I would like to give them a Hina doll.
My husband and I are looking forward to that day coming.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
I'm Kurebayashi, a staff member at Hinasei.
Thank you for the lovely, heartwarming photos and letter.
When I read your letter with this wonderful story, my heart was filled with joy.
Just as his mother used to bring food and snacks to the Hina dolls and cherish time with them when he was little, now it is Yuhito's turn to make memories with this helmet that his grandparents sent to him.
Please spend a wonderful time and make lots of memories with this helmet, which has been made with so much love.
And someday, please tell me the story of your first Doll Festival.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
