My first festival this year was last year, but around the time we were choosing the May doll, I was hospitalized due to threatened premature labor.
While I was in the hospital, my mother came to Hinasei-san and brought me a photo to cheer me up and tell me she found a wonderful helmet!
Then this year, after a year had passed, I went back to choose a helmet, and when I saw the helmet that my mother had liked last year, I liked it at first sight too, so I decided to get one on the spot.
There was a time when I thought it would be a lot of work to maintain and that I didn't need a May doll, but when I found a helmet I liked and had it displayed in my home, I was very happy.
My sons were born prematurely and small, so I want them to be protected and to grow up healthy, more than anyone else.
I plan to treasure it and decorate it every year.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
I'm Kurebayashi, a staff member at Hina Dolls.
You must have had a difficult time giving birth.
If our May dolls can provide even a little emotional support in such times, we would be extremely happy.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful story.
I hope that the May dolls will ward off evil spirits and that you will look forward to watching your two children grow up every year, so that they will grow up healthily.
I'm sure it must be difficult taking care of the two of you, but please take care of yourself and stay healthy.
We all sincerely hope that you will continue to grow.
Thank you very much for this opportunity.
