Boys' Festival first festival with a May doll decorated with a child general and filled with wishes | Subaru-kun from Fuchu City, Tokyo

I gave birth to my son in October last year and my father gave me a Hinasei May doll as a gift.
His son's name is Subaru.
I didn't think about the deeper meaning behind the name, but it seems to be a name given to a star, with the hope that the child will grow up to be as big and spacious as the universe.
My father helped me find a doll with the same name.
The doll, named "Sora," has a face that resembles my son and was a very welcome gift.
My older sister, who is eight years younger and in the third grade, also thought the doll was cute and was very happy with it.
To all of you who make dolls with the hope that children will grow up healthy and strong,
thank you very much.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
I'm Yoshinaga, a staff member at Hina Dolls.
Thank you for the heartwarming photos.
"Subaru" is apparently the name of the Pleiades star cluster.
I think it's a wonderful story that "Sora" was chosen because of the connection with Subaru's name.
I'm sure that in the future, when he learns the meaning of this doll, which was given to him with his name connected to it, he will grow up to be a child who will be able to understand the feelings of the grandfather who gave it to him.
The eyes gazing at the carp streamers are so adorable, and it looks like he has a strong sense of curiosity!
We hope you will enjoy displaying it for a long time.
Thank you very much for this opportunity.
