This is a crown of mugwort and calamus.
It has a very fresh and brave feel, perfect for May.

It was also heartwarming to see how comfortable he was on his father's lap. He will grow up healthily surrounded by everyone's love.

I think this photo, in which the entire head would have been captured if the eboshi hat hadn't been held down, could only be taken this year.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can look down at my May doll and see that its eboshi hat and jinbaori are so big I can see why all of this fits inside.
