May dolls: Celebrating Boys' Day with a helmet ornament decorated with a phoenix design | Oushiro-kun, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture

My precious son's first festival.
My grandparents gave me a lovely Hinasei doll for the May festival.
From the many varieties we chose:
It was a May doll of Uesugi Kenshin, chosen by my grandfather, who loved history.
When it arrived, it was a very beautiful and powerful helmet...
What surprised me most was that it had a phoenix design on it.
(Sorry if I'm wrong.)
We named our child huang, which is taken from the Chinese character for phoenix.
When I saw the phoenix pattern, I felt a connection!
It was much more impressive than the photos and everyone who came said,
"I've never seen such a magnificent May doll!" one person said.
I look forward to taking photos of my son as he grows up every year.
Thank you so much for this wonderful May doll!
(From Oushiro-kun's grandmother)
I was impressed by the helmet, which is much more magnificent than it appears in the photograph.
I will display it in the hope that he will grow up to be a brave and strong boy like Uesugi Kenshin.
Thank you very much.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
I'm Tsujii, a staff member at Hina Dolls.
Thank you for your compliment on the helmet ornament!
We have received many compliments and the craftsmen involved in making the helmet ornaments are very happy.
We have conducted extensive research, paying particular attention to even the smallest details, to ensure a realistic reproduction.
I'm relieved that everyone seemed to like it.
Thank you for sending us so many photos of Oushiro-kun smiling and crying.
The way her facial expression changes all the time is so adorable.
There were a variety of cute outfits, and it was clear to see that they had celebrated the Boys' Festival in a joyous atmosphere!
Thank you very much for this opportunity.
