A compact version of Yukimura Sanada, the Tiger of Echigo! Boy's Day doll helmet
This is Sanada Yukimura's armor with a beautiful red helmet bowl and deep blue braided cord.
Sanada Yukimura was active from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the early Edo period.
His brave actions and glorious end earned him the reputation of being "the greatest soldier in Japan," and he became well known among the common people as a hero and enjoys great popularity.
When you think of Sanada Yukimura, you think of the six-mon coin.
This is a family crest with a strong Buddhist influence due to Jizo faith, and is said to have been used by a military commander whose job was to kill living things, which is forbidden in Buddhism, in search of salvation.
The fukiage is decorated with a carving of the knotted geese crest, which was used as the Sanada family crest in peacetime.
