May Doll Compact Storage Decoration Type May Doll Armor and Helmet Date Masamune

This is a smaller version of the helmet of Date Masamune, a hugely popular brave and fearless military commander, that has been made small so that it can be stored in a single box.
This series is popular among people who do not have much space to display items or those who are frequently transferred, as it can be displayed anywhere and does not take up much storage space.

Date Masamune was a famous military commander who, as a leader of the Tohoku region, united the powerful clans of the region, which was in a state of chaos, through his military force and intelligence, and wielded great power.
There is a theory that if he had been born 10 years earlier, he would definitely have joined the three men, Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, in their struggle to rule Japan.

He was not only powerful in battle, but he was also a military commander who was highly praised for his efforts to make the Tohoku region a prosperous country after the country was unified.
He is also famous for developing the Kitakami River basin, turning it into a grain-producing region that continues to this day, and increasing rice production through canals.

It was Date Masamune who transformed the Tohoku region, which was a poor country with cold weather making it difficult to grow crops, into a rich grain-producing region.
The distinctive feature of Date Masamune's helmet is its huge crescent-shaped crest.
Among warlords in the Sengoku period, there was a belief in the North Star known as Myoken faith. It was believed that faith in the North Star, and by extension the moon, stars, and sun, would lead to military success, and there is also a theory that the crescent moon was a manifestation of Myoken faith.

Samurai skills were not limited to swordsmanship, but included skill with the bow. There is also a theory that the crescent moon is connected to the "Yumiharitsuki" (arrow moon), and is a protection for valor.

Although it is small, it is an authentic piece of work with each small plate properly connected with thread.
It does not have the "lightness" that is typical of small May dolls. In addition, since it can be stored as it is on the display stand, there is no need to take out multiple boxes when decorating.

May dolls are not only meant to celebrate the bravery of Sengoku warlords, but also to ward off misfortune that befalls boys, and by displaying them in the home, they are meant to ward off misfortune that comes from outside.

The love for children that Japanese people have cultivated in their daily lives.
This is something precious and irreplaceable. Please celebrate the May Festival, which conveys this feeling even today, with an authentic May Doll.
