Compact helmet for May dolls, interior decoration! May set by Tatsuhiro

This is a May doll made by the famous armor maker Tatsuhisa, who is known for combining the essence of Kyoto armor with the sophistication of Edo armor.
Some people say that helmet ornaments are an abbreviated form of the armor ornaments used in May dolls, but there are not many armorers who can create such a strong presence with just one helmet ornament.

Everything can be stored inside the stand itself, making it easy to display and put away.
The indigo blue cord tightly fastens around the black helmet, and the red used on the outermost side makes the design stand out vividly.
This is a May doll that gives a very dignified impression.

【helmet】

This helmet ornament is a striking sight, made with rare Koshu Inden colors.
The May dolls made by Tatsuhiro are often modeled after those that were dedicated to shrines as prayers for victory in battle, and so are not modeled after the helmet ornaments of any particular military commander.

For this reason, the votive helmets, made to please the gods and in hopes of peace after the war, are often ornate and carefully crafted.

Although the colors are not muted, the helmet ornaments look calm because each one is carefully crafted.
You can almost feel the artisan's breathing, making you want to straighten your posture.

[Furniture]

We have created an original Hinasei wooden stand inspired by traditional Japanese town house architecture so that it will fit in nicely in any room.
We use domestically produced cedar boards to bring out the weightiness of the May dolls while still capturing the atmosphere of good old Japan.

The stand is designed as a box that can be used to store items such as helmet ornaments so that they can be stored as is.
The fukusa is made of pure silk.
The bow and arrow and sword are smaller in size so that this May doll can match any room.
The presence of the 鍬形 (helmet crest) on top of the helmet, combined with the dragon and tiger folding screen, gives this May doll a presence that does not feel small.

【folding screen】

The painting depicts a dragon and a tiger, with the artist standing with his back to the folding screen, a dragon in his right hand and a tiger in his left hand.
In fact, these represent the directions, and the motif is said to be "Blue Dragon in the East, White Tiger in the West."
In the past, being able to sit in this position represented one's sovereignty.
The helmet is provided as a protection for the child.
It is also intended to convey the wish that the person will develop the magnanimity and strength befitting an emperor.

Our products have earned a reputation for being a welcome addition to homes in a variety of housing situations, including those who are transferred frequently and those with limited storage space.
