Different texture [Cowhide armor decoration] May doll Tokugawa Ieyasu Authentic

Because May dolls are filled with the thoughts of those who watch over them, you want to give the real thing...This is the perfect May doll for those looking for such a doll.

This armor (a complete set of samurai attire including armor and helmet) is called Tokugawa Ieyasu's "Shidagusoku" and is said to have been used in the Battle of Sekigahara. According to one theory, it was also worn during the Winter Siege of Osaka.

Another famous piece of armor worn by Tokugawa Ieyasu is the Nanban Gusoku. For samurai at the time, armor was worn to win peace. For this reason, it is said that Ieyasu did not wear armor after the Summer Siege of Osaka. The real Hada Gusoku is kept at Kunozan Toshogu Shrine in Tochigi Prefecture.

This May doll is a faithful reproduction of the armor worn in the battle that became the foundation of the 200-year history of the Tokugawa Edo period. The creator, Suzu Koshi Yuzan, is the fourth generation owner of a prestigious armor workshop. He is renowned as an armorer who creates highly-finished, authentic armor by copying national treasures, and in addition to being a great gift for fans of Sengoku warlords, his armor is also a great item.

These May dolls, which meet the discerning eye of even the most discerning connoisseur, are, of course, made from genuine leather.

There are side ornaments on the front of the helmet that resemble fern leaves. Ferns do not wither all year round and, as they are connected by underground stems, they continue to grow back no matter how many times they are cut. As such, ferns have been loved by the Japanese since ancient times as a motif of lasting good fortune in battle and prosperity of descendants.

"folding screen"

The folding screen features a hamaya arrow, a treasure ship, Mt. Fuji and pine trees. Mt. Fuji and pine trees are said to be connected to "immortality" and have been loved by Japanese people since ancient times as a motif for wishing for health and longevity. The treasure ship is said to be an auspicious symbol of never having to worry about money in one's lifetime, so it is sometimes used as a decoration for the first annual festival.

When the day comes when your child realizes the weightiness of the real thing, he or she will be astonished by its beauty and will be grateful for the feelings of the person who chose the real thing for them. Giving a real thing is a continuous gift that will continue to make wishes for not only the present but also the future.

『Bow and Sword』

The brown sheath is not made of plastic, but a genuine wooden sheath.
The sheath is finished with a topcoat technique called pear-skin coating, in which gold powder is mixed and applied.

In the May Festival doll industry, the standard combination of a sword and a bow and arrow is the bow and sword.

This sword and bow set also comes with a spear covered with fur, making it one of the few rare sword and bow sets with spear in the industry.
