A sophisticated and recommended May doll, Mori Motonari's helmet, made by Tomomi Kato
Among Kato Tomomi Sensei's helmets, the 1/2 is slightly larger than the 1/3. It is an oval shape called Akoda, measuring 11cm wide x 13cm deep. It is half the size of the actual helmet and armor of Motonari Mori.
This helmet is adorned with a memorable slogan: "A single arrow will break, but three arrows combined will not break. So, if we join forces as brothers and take on the challenge, we can do so."
The head bowl is a precise oval shape called an Akoda.
In fact, the human head is oval in shape, and the helmet bowl was made to fit well because it is said to have a good fit.
It is a little complicated to make because it is made by hand by combining metal fittings of different shapes. Tomomi Kato's Akoda helmet is one of the few available, but it is a recommended May doll.
The bow and sword are not used for fighting, but are displayed together with the helmet as a talisman to ward off evil spirits.
It was believed that gods resided in long bows. Displaying a bow and a sword on both sides meant that the retainers were standing by the general's side and protecting his armor. The bow and the sword were meant to ward off evil spirits and demons.
The brown scabbard is not made of plastic, but is a genuine wooden scabbard. The scabbard is finished with a topcoat technique called pear-skin coating, which is a mixture of gold powder and topcoat.
Fletching is the feathers that are attached to an arrow.
The base screen makes full use of natural materials to create an old-fashioned, traditional atmosphere. The lacquer painting features two swords on a blurred green background. It is a screen design that you rarely see. Hinasei created the design and painted it in the studio. It has a Japanese, traditional image, and is stylish. It is refined and elegant.
This is a recommended item for those looking for a May doll with plenty of texture.
